Welcome to the Bushfield Bowls Club!

The 2023 season starts on Monday 1st May

We welcome anyone to join us for a friendly roll-up, from complete beginners to those with many years’ experience.  Just turn up at the clubhouse on any day by 1:45pm and you will be included in the draw for the afternoon roll-up. Bowling continues until 4:00pm with a short break around 3:00pm for tea and biscuits.

In addition we play evening roll ups on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 6:15pm.

We also play friendly matches against other local clubs throughout the season and together with our own internal club competitions and social events the club provides something to interest everyone who joins the club. We do have a number of sets of bowls that can be borrowed while learning the game.

Flat soled shoes (no heels, ridges etc.) must be worn but otherwise our dress code is very relaxed. Friendly matches with other clubs, however, do require players to be dressed in grey trousers (or skirts for ladies) and white collared or club tops.

Fees

Season (May – mid September) . . . . . . .  £50
This is a one-off payment for the season and covers all play other than home friendly matches.
Casual user green fee (daily) . . . . . . . . . .£5 . (includes tea and biscuit)
Covers play on any day for non-member
Tea and biscuits (if taken) . . . . . . . . . . . . 50p
